SUMMARY:CCIS Expert Panel: State of the Cyber Insurance Market 2026
DESCRIPTION:Cyber insurance is maturing\, not relaxing. The window for easy renewals is narrowing in some industries\, and strategy matters more than ever. \n  \nIn this year’s State of the Market panel\, we brought together Certified Cyber Insurance Specialist (CCIS) graduates from all corners of the cyber policy value chain. Our panelists were senior practitioners in broking\, underwriting and claims handling\, who have completed one of the industry’s most rigorous technical training programs. They shared their grounded\, experience-led perspectives on where the market really stands\, and what comes next. \n  \nRather than predictions for prediction’s sake\, this discussion focused on how today’s market dynamics are playing out in underwriting rooms\, broker conversations\, cyber policy design and claims decision-making. \nState of the Cyber Insurance Market 2026 – Discussion Themes\nTopics we discussed included: \n  \n\nWhy the cyber insurance market continues to swing between growth and correction – and what this says about underwriting discipline and market maturity\nWhether today’s soft market is sustainable\, or quietly setting the conditions for the next hard market\nWhere real growth is (and isn’t) happening – including lessons from emerging markets such as LATAM\nHow brokers and underwriters can unlock demand without sacrificing risk quality or trust\nWhether cyber products are evolving fast enough to reflect emerging\, sector-specific exposures\nWhat a sustainable cyber market actually looks like – balancing growth\, pricing discipline and long-term resilience\n\nThis session is designed for brokers\, underwriters\, claims professionals and cyber leaders who want a clear-eyed\, technically informed view of the cyber market\, delivered by the people actively shaping it. \nMeet Our Panelists\nKevin Neslage\nDirector of Insurance Strategy\, Cypfer \n  \nKevin Neslage is a cyber claims professional with a background in law\, working at the intersection of insurance and cybersecurity.
