Philippa has over 10 years’ experience in the London insurance market. She began her career as a broker at Howden, where she focused on Tech E&O, Cyber and Intellectual Property for international clients. After 3 and a half years as a broker at Howden, she moved to Aspen, working as an underwriter on US Tech E&O and Cyber business. Philippa moved to CFC in 2018 to work as an underwriter on their Corporate Cyber team, where she has been ever since. She primarily works on international accounts for corporate clients with revenues in excess of $1 billion. Philippa has been recognized as one of the cyber market’s leading underwriters. In 2020, she won the “Most skilled underwriter of the year” award at the Insurance Insider Cyber Rankings and she was recently nominated for the 2021 “Women in Insurance” award.

Shannan Fort

Partner, Financial Lines, Cyber
McGill & Partners

Shannan is a Partner in our Financial Lines team, focusing on Cyber and commercial Errors and Omissions. Shannan started off her career as a broker of cyber insurance in 2007. Her primary focus since 2015 has been Cyber product development and innovation, wording development, leading cyber-focused training, cyber risk/insurance analysis and creating complex risk transfer solutions. In 2016, Shannan led the London contingent to build a first-of-its-kind cyber risk transfer solution for a large auto manufacturer. This was some of the broadest coverage in the market at the time, and a catalyst for further development.

Ben Hobby is a partner with Baker Tilly. For more than a decade, he has handled losses and investigations of various scopes and sizes for insurers, lawyers and corporates across the globe. His expertise focuses on physical and nonphysical damage business interruption, loss of profits, fraud and fidelity, cyber risk and system failure and reinsurance investigations. Ben is a member of the cyber claims committee at the International Underwriting Association, which addresses issues relating to the handling of cyber claims in the London insurance market. In addition, Ben has conducted accounting investigations of reinsurance treaties and binding authorities in the United Kingdom, Europe, United States and Australia.
