August 2025 – The Cyber Insurance Academy, a leading independent authority in cyber insurance education, is excited to relaunch its Certified Cyber Insurance Specialist (CCIS) Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to bridge the talent gap in the cyber insurance industry by providing underrepresented groups with access to premier education and career advancement opportunities.

Why We’re Bringing Back Our Cyber Insurance Scholarship

The first round of the CCIS Scholarship demonstrated the impact of structured learning and support on career growth. Recipients came from a range of professional experiences, including claims management, commercial insurance, and specialty lines, and reported tangible benefits in both knowledge and confidence. Read our scholar interviews.

Cyber Insurance Scholarship Details

This program is designed to reduce barriers to entry in cyber insurance for diverse and talented individuals. A total of 100 scholarships will be awarded, with discounts ranging from 40% to 80% off Specialist Memberships, based on the applicant’s qualifications and needs.

Scholars will then be able to embark on the world-accredited Certified Cyber Insurance Specialist (CCIS) designation program, a key benefit of the Specialist Membership.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• At least two years of work experience in fields related to cyber or insurance (e.g., risk management, IT, law, accounting).
• Final-year undergraduate or graduate students with a demonstrated interest in cyber insurance.
• Career changers with clear evidence of interest in pursuing a cyber insurance career.

Scholars must also commit to:

• Attending the Welcome Event on October 13, 2025, or reviewing its recording afterward.
• Completing the CCIS designation program by March 31, 2026.

Application Process

• Applications open on August 25, 2025
• Applications close on September 25, 2025
• Applicants will need to complete a short online questionnaire, which will include the submission of:

1. A one-page CV
2. A statement of up to 300 words outlining their motivation and qualifications.

• Successful candidates may be invited to a Zoom interview before final selection.
• Scholars will be notified of their selection by October 1, 2025.
• Scholars must accept their scholarship offer by October 17, 2025.
