Four new AI lessons - Artificial Intelligence, AI Threats and Risks, AI Governance and Silent AI - plus sixteen existing lessons rewritten and every fact brought current to 2026. AI runs as a thread through all ten modules rather than sitting in one of them. The full list is on this page under What was added and What changed.
A proctored online exam you schedule yourself and sit from your own desk. Your voucher is included and valid for 12 months, and retakes are available.
CCIS is accredited by the CII in the UK, RIBO in Ontario, ANZIIF and NIBA in Australia and New Zealand, and carries continuing-education recognition across US states. It is examined and proctored, not awarded on completion.
No. CCIS is written for insurance professionals, not IT professionals. The two technology modules start from zero and exist only so you can picture a risk well enough to price, place or settle it.
A year at a time. The annual maintenance fee renews it and reissues your certificate on each anniversary - you pay it deliberately, and nothing charges automatically. A second clock runs every third year, when your CE credits are checked as well: 60 credits, at least 20 of them earned at CIA. Meet that and a new three-year cycle begins.
Frequently, yes - CCIS counts toward the CPD/CE obligations most employers already fund. The syllabus PDF is written to be forwarded to a manager: hours, CE credits and accreditations are on the first page. Checkout takes a purchase-order number and issues a VAT-compliant invoice. For three or more people, team pricing is usually cheaper.
CIE is 8 hours and foundational - a good first step if cyber is new to you or adjacent to your role. CCIS is 40 hours, intermediate to advanced, for people whose job is cyber.
Download the syllabus before you buy - it is the entire module breakdown, free and ungated. If you have enrolled and it is not the right fit, contact us within 14 days. [Refund window to be confirmed]
