Cody has extensive experience in cyber incident response and preparedness, working for several years in FleishmanHillard’s London office before joining the New York team in 2022. He has also helped clients through a wide range of crisis and issues situations, including undercover media investigations, major restructures and union disputes and many other regulatory and reputational challenges. As a media-trained spokesperson, on-call crisis press officer and trained speechwriter his approach focusses on developing robust messaging strategies to navigate complex, contentious issues under heavy national media scrutiny.
Ella Cahoon
Senior Account Director, Crisis & Issues, FleishmanHillard London
Ella has extensive experience dealing with prominent crisis in the public sector, managing live situations such as terrorist attacks, intense media scrutiny, and high-profile public inquiries.
She spent four years managing the communications for UK policing on economic crime, heading up the Action Fraud press office and working closely with partners such as NCSC, NCA and FCA on cyber incidents. After working in policing, she joined Kensington and Chelsea Council where she was responsible for the full corporate communications portfolio for its Housing Directorate in the aftermath of the Grenfell tragedy. As a Senior Account Director in FH’s crisis and issues team, Ella has provided reputation management counsel on a broad range of issues following real-time incidents including data breaches, litigation, product recalls, and workplace accidents. She also works on a number of retained clients helping them to identify their key risks and prepare and test their response accordingly.
