How did you get into the Cyber Insurance Industry?
With a decade of experience in Financial Lines, I ventured into the cyber insurance field two to three years ago. Initially, I joined my company’s Cyber Developer team, and last year I transitioned into underwriting cyber policies.

What do you consider to be a critical factor to achieve true professional growth in cyber insurance?
In my view, a critical factor is the relative newness of the cyber insurance industry compared to other products. The limited availability of actuarial data poses a significant challenge. As a cyber underwriter, I am committed to continuously learning about this product and was looking to advance my cyber insurance education. I anticipate substantial growth within the cyber insurance market over the next three years. In Brazil, for instance, we have already witnessed a fourfold increase since 2020, with cyber total premiums surging from USD 8.2M to USD 34.7M in 2022. Additionally, the escalating cyber threats necessitate our constant vigilance and continuous updating to effectively address evolving risks.
